Alisha Wackerle-HollmanDr. Alisha Wackerle-Hollman is a research associate with the Center for Early Education and Development at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Wackerle-Hollman currently holds the role of project coordinator for the Center for Response to Intervention in Early Childhood. Dr. Wackerle-Hollman has contributed to IGDI development since 2005 and currently works on the research and development of future measures including identification and progress monitoring measure development.

Kristen Missall, PhD, NCSP

Kristen MissallDr. Kristen Missall is an associate professor in the Department of Psychological and Quantitative Foundations at the University of Iowa. She received a Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Minnesota, and completed post-doctoral training at the Center for Early Education and Development at the University of Minnesota. Prior to her appointment at the University of Iowa she served on the faculty at the University of Kentucky.

She is interested in the application of school psychology principles and practices to early education. Her research focuses on assessment and intervention to improve educational and social outcomes for preschool children and their families.

Scott McConnell, PhD

University of Minnesota | Professor

Scott McConnellDr. Scott McConnell earned his PhD at the University of Oregon and is currently a Professor of Educational Psychology and Child Psychology at the University of Minnesota’s Center for Early Education & Development (CEED). In 2008-2009, Dr. McConnell served as the Fesler-Lampert Chair in Urban and Regional Affairs and also devotes time to the University’s Northside Initiative. In addition, Dr. McConnell also leads Minnesota’s efforts in collaboration between the University of Kansas, Ohio State University, and Dynamic Measurement Group called the Center on Response to Intervention in Early Childhood (CRtIEC).

Lillian Durán, PhD

Utah State University | Assistant Professor

Dr. Lillian Durán has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education and Clinical Sciences at The University of Oregon. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Antioch College and a M.A. in Education and Human Development from the George Washington University. Her research is focused on improving instructional and assessment practices with preschool-aged dual language learners (DLLs). Dr. Durán has presented and consulted nationally on the topic of recommended and evidence-based practices in assessment and instruction with young DLLs. Prior to Dr. Durán’s work in higher education she worked for 9 years as an early childhood special education teacher both in Prince George’s County, Maryland and in rural south central Minnesota.
